David Awram
Chairman and Director
David Awram co-founded Sandstorm Gold and served as a Director and Senior Executive Vice President until the company was acquired by Royal Gold for $3.5B in October 2025. Through his leadership in capital markets, technical due diligence, and corporate development, David played a key role in building Sandstorm from a start-up into a leading mid-tier royalty company. Prior to this, David was Director of Investor Relations at Silver Wheaton Corp. (now Wheaton Precious Metals Corp.), where he was involved in corporate development and investor relations during the company’s growth into a multi-billion-dollar precious metals business. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of British Columbia.
Greg Davis
President, CEO and Director
Greg Davis was VP, Business Development for Sunridge Gold Corp from 2006 until the sale of the Asmara project in April 2016, during which time he directed financing efforts and raised over $50 million for the Company. The Asmara Project was advanced from exploration and development through acquiring a mining license. Prior to Sunridge, Greg was part of the discovery team at Nevsun’s Bisha Project as on-site Project Manager. Greg has an extensive technical background in the mining sector, with over 25 years of experience in all levels of corporate and project management in various jurisdictions around the world.
Doris Meyer
Director
Doris Meyer is an officer and/or director of several mineral exploration companies trading on the AIM, TSX and TSX Venture stock exchanges. Ms. Meyer gained her early experience in the mining industry as Vice President Finance of Queenstake Resources Ltd. from 1985 to 2003. Ms. Meyer launched her private company Golden Oak Corporate Services Ltd. in October 1996 with Queenstake as her first client. Since that time, Golden Oak has provided publicly traded mineral exploration companies with administrative, financial reporting and corporate compliance services.
Hayley Thomasen
Director
Hayley is the founder of Pathway Ventures UK Ltd, a privately-held London-based venture capital / private equity firm focused on metals and mining. Previously, she was an Investment Analyst at Orion Resource Partners (UK) LLP and has held various positions as an exploration geologist in Canada. Hayley holds a graduate degree in Economic Geology from the University of Arizona, where she received the Newmont Scholar and SEG Foundation Graduate Student Fellowship, a BSC in EOSC (Geology) from the University of British Columbia, and a BA from McGill University.
Jim Paterson
Director
As a director of Saudi Discovery Company, and now Sun Peak Metals, Mr. Paterson has led the company’s entrance into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, building a strong in-country network with key stakeholders and business leaders. Jim is a principal of Discovery Group, which has led, financed and transacted numerous gold, copper and other resource companies – Great Bear Resources, Northern Empire Resources, Kaminak Gold and more.
Joshua Lai
Director
Joshua is currently Director of Legal at Beacon Events Group, a privately held global mining and resource events company with offices in Riyadh, London, Melbourne, and Hong Kong. Josh is currently based out of Riyadh and has obtained considerable local experience advising mining companies on the process of securing mining exploration licenses across the Arabian-Nubian Shield, and executing on these various mining projects.
