Shire Project

The Shire Project is comprised of four exploration licenses: Nefasit, Adi Dairo, Terer & Meli, and covers approximately 900 square kilometers in northern Ethiopia. The licenses are on the same geological environment as both the Bisha Mine and the Asmara Projects to the north in Eritrea and Newmont's project, also in northern Ethiopia, to the south.

Over the past couple of years, Sun Peak has been conducting exploration on the Shire Project, applying the same exploration techniques the team successfully in the past. This includes a 6,000 line km airborne VTEM survey completed in October 2019 and a detailed ground gravity survey over several high priority targets. Numerous (~24) gold and copper targets have been defined so far.

The infrastructure on the project is excellent, with roads, power, and water available throughout the Shire Project area.
