Shire Project

The Shire Project is comprised of six exploration licenses: Meli, Terer, Nefasit, Adi Dairo, Adi Mendi and Wokemba, covering approximately 1,450 square kilometers in northern Ethiopia. The licenses are within the same geological environment as both the Bisha Mine and the Asmara Projects to the north in Eritrea and Newmont's project, also in northern Ethiopia, to the south.

Previous work by the Sun Peak team identified numerous (~24) gold and copper targets. Initial 2020 drilling revealed strong Au & Cu intercepts on both the Meli and Terer licenses.

A 6,000 to 7,000 m drill program is currently underway on the Shire Project. This includes the drilling on the Hamlo target as well as the other high priority targets to be drilled this year.
